NeoCon is the largest commercial interiors show in North America, taking place at The Merchandise Mart in Chicago since 1969. The three-day event attracts nearly 50,000 design professionals and showcases more than 700 leading companies in over 1 million square feet of exhibition space.
A few themes captured throughout the event include:
Deconstruction & Creation
Teknion launched Luum, inspired by designer Suzanne Tick as a new Textiles brand. Luum’s inaugural collection features nine fabrics primarily for the corporate market. It offers a range of shades for each color allowing fabric layering creating visual dimensions in today’s sprawling, open-plan offices.

Vitra Hack
Designed by Konstantin Grcic, Hack is a table system that anticipates the requirements of companies and employees – a provocative solution which can be understood as a ‘hack’ of the office environment. With its raw wooden panels, Hack presents an unfinished aesthetic at first glance, like a snapshot of an experimental project under development.

Colors & Shapes
Patricia Urquiola led color palette; think pastels with a little more saturation and vibrancy. Blends of plaids, stripes and sometimes floral.

Tubular Steel, Dowels and rounded wood elements along with softer shapes, round edges and quilted textiles encompassed the space.

BuzziSpace multi story work lounge
Inspired by nature, BuzziJungle offers a solution to the conventional meeting space. The launch of the BuzziJungle will introduce the design world to young Belgian talent Jonas Van Put.

Awards
Teknion won 6 awards including Best in Show with Zones

Andreu World won 7 awards including Best Conference and Guest Seating
